The Hospital Auxiliary held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Hesse Rural Health this month. The meeting was well attended by members of the Hospital Auxiliary, Hesse Executive Carissa Brock (CEO), Sue Ryan (Director of Community Services) & Margie McLeod (Director of Clinical Services), Surf Coast Shire Councillor Adrian Schonfelde, as well as representatives of the Winchelsea Lions Club & Community Bank.
Winchelsea Community Bank took the opportunity to present the cheque for $50,000 to the Hesse Op Shop Rebuild Appeal. Generously, Community Bank honoured a dollar-for-dollar matched fundraising initiative for the Appeal up to a total of $50,000, now achieved. Thank you for the community support in helping Hesse Rural Health raise $50,000 towards the Op Shop Rebuild Appeal through donations, raffles, bake sales, and fundraising events such as ‘A Century of Brides’ and the ‘Ingelby Twilight Cocktail Party’ in October 2022.
Through the AGM election process, a number of long servicing Hospital Auxiliary executive holders elected to step down this year, Cheryl Mawson (President), Meryl Rigby (Treasurer), Ingrid Rowe (Secretary) and Pam Kelly (Vice President). A big thank you is extended to these ladies, who will continue to volunteer as Hospital Auxiliary members. Hesse is very proud to have you volunteering and appreciative of your dedication and many efforts over the years.
Hesse would like to thank Cheryl Mawson for her twenty years as President of the Hospital Auxiliary, after joining the Auxiliary in 2000. Meryl Rigby has also been an enthusiastic member of the Hospital Auxiliary since she joined in 2001. Meryl has served as Treasurer for the Auxiliary for almost twenty years. Thank you ladies for your many years’ service and dedication to fundraising for your local health service, as well as supporting this wonderful community we live in.
Hesse welcomes the newly appointed Hospital Auxiliary executive team Lesley Christie (President), Pat Crosbie (Vice President), Laurel McLennan (Secretary) and Kerrie Robinson (Treasurer). Your assistance is greatly appreciated and we wish you the best of luck in your new roles.
