Diabetes Education

Diabetes is a chronic disease with serious complications. It is one of the fastest growing chronic health conditions and research has shown that the rates of diabetes are often higher in rural areas. Diabetes is a ‘lifestyle’ disease. Contributing factors are diet, stress and lack of exercise.

Diabetes educators teach people how to recognise and treat symptoms and incorporate diabetes management into their lifestyle. Diabetes education is available on an individual or group basis.

Consultations can occur from Winchelsea, Beeac, Rokewood and Moriac Community Health Centres. For appointments, Tel 5267 1200.
