Fundraising

Each year significant fundraising initiatives are planned to target a forthcoming health service project. All current fundraising is being directed to a long day child care project at the Winchelsea site.

Past fundraising efforts have included:

Broadway at the Mansion (2008), an outdoor musical concert held at Barwon Park Mansion, featured singers from international stage musicals such as Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon and Les Miserables. The outdoor concert attracted over 400 people and was the key community fundraising event for the Dementia Unit building appeal.

Murdeduke Open Garden (2009) was set amongst the grounds of the local Gothic bluestone homestead on a sunny Sunday in October. Open to the public for the first time in many years the gardens attracted visitors from far afield. A vibrant market atmosphere of plant stalls, garden sculpture, gardening products, gardening information sessions and a food court entertained visitors and raised a record $30,000 for Hesse Rural Health.
